Usually any payments are for the week/month gone.0 -
They are paid in arrears as a pwc at my school found out last week ! As we have had problems with the CSA(as an nrp & nrpp)friends at school often ask me advice for dealing with them! I try & help anyone ,pwc or nrp, (after all we only want a FAIR system to provide support for the children)
She was actually on the phone to CSA & caught up with me at the school gate. Last months payment was late to the pwc but they said he had paid the CSA (DEO from his work so couldn't not pay really)several children to different pwc's but she had been receiving regular CM for nearly 2 years now.No new claim or anything that could mean new assessment .No payment for May appears & CSA say they JUST realised he is paying in advance & he is allowed to pay in arrears!! Why did she have to spend £10 in mobile phone calls over April & May couldn't they have sent a letter to prepare her for NO CM & are they just keeping his money in the CSA bank? Can they do this? What is she supposed to do this month? She started to rely on the money now as it was by DEO & had been paid regularly for so long!0 -
That happens quite often with DEOs, usually when a 12-month schedule has changed. All it takes is a switched on caseworker to notice the payment pattern, they'll then manually allocate the payment and deal with the NRP's payroll dept to get things back on track.0

Ok ,thanks for the answer.I'll have to tell her tomorrow when we take the children to school. Its not very good idea though, it means she wont get enough money to pay her regular out goings this month but at least she will know why!!0

I know it's easier said than done, but she should try to not rely on the child maintenance payments, especially when collection is via DEO - there could be any number of changes which would affect when the payment is actually sent in.0

I know but after many years she finally started getting payments & though that was it now, the CSA has made him face up to his responsibilities (it is shared between 3 pwc's !)It just doesn't seem fair the CSA have decided to do this now with out any warning & keep her waiting so long for an explanation.0
