  • An American site so ignore stuff like Thanksgiving, but a great help at Christmas is the Christmas Countdown at Organised Christmas.
Sorry not allowed to put in links as a newby but:-
    search for christmas.organizedhome.com/christmas-countdown
There is a ton of organisation/ideas on this site and its links, including housework, recipes, gifts to make. They send you an email reminder of what you ought to be doing every day in the 6 week run-up to Christmas. The Holiday Grand Plan gives a massive cleaning/organising of the entire house plan.:j

Not sure if this is the one you meant, but it is one of the links from the Holly thread.

There's a Mary Berry recipe for Christmas Chutney on the BBC Food website which comes highly recommended

    http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1158/mary-berrys-christmas-chutney

Plenty of other chutney and jam recipes on there too if you have a little look round.

Not going to go crazy this year for Xmas.. Last year was the first in own house, was a bit meh to be honest, just had my parents round for dinner but they were a bit under the weather so weren't exactly feeling festive. Plus my mum has the amazing habit or buying us lots of 'useful' presents which all have to greeted with he obligatory smile and thanks before being secreted away to the rubbish pile, id prefer if she just saved her money and bought us say one thing that we day we want, but they won't be told :o

Only bought a few bits so far, a book from the book people sale as a stocking filler for OH, and also got him the Morph Dvd kit from amazon, a well it's for me really ;)

Also got a couple of little toiletrytsets in the sale, one in orange and one in strawberry flavour, so thinking of doing a little theme set using each for a couple of friends, adding a choc orange/strawberry cremes, liqueurs etc
