Police Pension ill health

OSPREY
I have a Police pension that is frozen until my 60th birthday, (I resigned in 1998.) I am aged 54 and now have difficulty in working due to ill health, I have sacroiliac joint dysfunction a back injury which I sustained whilst in the police although there is no record of this.
My question is: would I be able to release my pension now due to my ill health and what medical proof would I need to be able to do this?
Thanks

Not frozen - deferred. http://www.hansonwealth.co.uk/policefed/npps/npps_guide.html
You would have to contact the Trustees of the Pension Scheme for a decision.0
