short synopsis
had a business, partner cleared out accounts and ran off, banks refused to shut down account unless I physically took him in, ended up 1100 overdraft.
Last year bank had a income statement from me and accepted it and nothing heard. Now have a third party finance group claiming the monies owed within a week. I know about my liabaility ion terms of partnership. Is there any way the finance company cannot enforce this as it isnt their debt ? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Case of beer for one who can get me out of this

oooh not sure hon, give the company a call and explain the situation, don't give in to their demands, a week is totally impractical!! speak to the CAB (citizens advice) see if there is any advice they can give you. is the overdraft from fees that have accrued where the bank refused to close the account? if so i'd say you havea very very good chance of fighting this and reclaiming the charges. see the helpful link on this site to do this.
Let us know how you get on.
