I have emailed boots and asked if they could possibly send out some free samples. Im going to buy plasters, condoms and chewing gum and put 1 in each bag does any1 have any idea where else i could get things nice and cheap, i have searched ebay and amazon but things seem to be quite expensive when u work out how many bags im making.

  • Lip Balm would be nice! I have just bought some Shrek Apple Flavour lip balms for 19p each at Home Bargains.

hi, sorry if im late in replying but when I was a bridesmaid last year I did up bags for about 10 people. i included:
    - naughty or nice balloon
    - keyring torch (we were glamping)
    - a personalised badge
    - a small set saying "thanks for attending (brides name) hen party & the date" that had a lolly, sweets and a charm in it
    - pack of chewing gum
    - pack of facial wipes
    - a particularly shaped whistle
    - the same shaped straw
    - a beaded shot glass
    - dare cards
    - bubbles

the bride got those plus a banner, a garter & headband set

i also bought prizes (1 for everyone there) from another online shop

In total it cost me in excess of £100, i'd say there was cheaper options available but I built mine up over a few months

Hiya! I have recently been on a hen night in london and we had really great hen night bags i think that the maid of honour had put a lot of effort into personalising the night. She used Hen Stuff if you want to Google it and check it out, they do like pre-made bags and ones you can put together yourself xx

    brill,thank you,il have a look now :) xx
  • I found that I didn't receive very many samples when I asked around so in the end I went on to ebay and bought a make up job lot. There was about 40 items in there that I divided up which worked really well.

I also found a lady on ebay that made personalised "medals" for each person for a couple of pounds each. I didn't tell the bride (my best friend) what we were doing but asked her to provide a sentence about each hen that was then engraved on the back, with a picture of the hen on the front.

Also got some bubbles, a box of really cheap test tube shots (put 2 in each bag) some "love hearts" that had "Ems Hen" written on the side, some chocolate and an emergency couple of paracetamol.

    Good luck :D
