Mortgage arrears charges with GE Money

A year ago, my husband had to stop work due to a terminal cancer diagnosis. So I did all the things I had to do, informed everyone, and applied through DWP for financial assistance, a task which is never easy.
To cut a long story short, they took months to sort things out, and we ended up paying a mortgage payment out of hubby's business account, which delayed things even longer, as they then said, that was earnings...

Eventually our Mortgage interest was paid 4 weekly and as our mortgage was an interest only mortgage, that left us with a shortfall of around £41 for which I set up a DD.

But every month GE Money send me an arrears statement, with a charge of over £40.

I have written over and over, and yet nothing, I am ignored.

How can they do this?
