Portmeirion Seconds sale - sets of 6 available again

I ordered last week and my order was due for delivery today. Then I had a phone call from Portmeirion to say some of my items were out of stock and offering me some alternatives. When I did my order it refused my card the 1st time and deleted the order so I entered the items again (minus the pasta plates that were out of office) and then paid. It appears that it took both orders as I checked the my bank later and they took both lots.
The parcel arrived and 2 of the cups were broken. I called them back and said I would like the 2 cups replaced and the pasta plates sent. I then asked for the remaining money to be refunded and free delivery bearing in mind the mistakes they made. She was quite stroppy and asked me to email her. This i did and she replied asking for photos of the broken cups. I sent them this afternoon and am awaiting a reply.
She told me they had a major computer breakdown last week just when the sale was on so it might be worth people checking their bank account to make sure they have taken the correct money.
Having said all that I am thrilled with the items. I live near the Clarks shopping village and they sale Portmeirion there and apparently the sale items are available in outlets too

I had my despatch note yesterday and was impressed by the options offered by the courier (Predict): I could change the delivery day or specify a neighbour's house if needed.

Yes and on the day of the delivery they text/email you with an hour slot when you can expect your delivery. Excellent service.

For anyone who has not got a despatch e:mail yet don't worry. I e:mailed them yesterday, asking very nicely if they knew how long my order would be. Got an e:mail this am saying very busy but they were packing mine and it should be ready for despatch soon. I ordered on the first day. HTH

My order arrived yesterday - 6 fruit salad bowls , 4 daisies, I crysanthemum and 1 pimpernel. They go beautifully with the sets I ought in last year's sale. Thanks very much OP.

There are quite a few different sets of 6 reloaded on the site and available again, eg the fruit salad bowls, bread plates, large 10" plates, 7" bowls, oatmeal bowls, cup&saucer, soup plate, oval plate, and right at the bottom the April Bristol tankard with pink flowers on.
