template letter needed

Options
Sorry - I did a search but couldnt find the one i need

My brother has 2 defaults on his Credit Report - both are for a "shopper cheque" (?)

One is marked as satisfied. Both defaults are from 2010.

Lowell has been trying to contact my brother about this (Brother thought they were both satisfied and the company he got the original shopper cheque from no longer exists so he cant check)

He's asked for the original agreement and Lowell said they would get back to him (But didnt specify a date)

Is there a letter we can send to dispute these?

Are you trying to dispute the defaults from 3 years ago?
  • Kind of!

My brother believes he paid these so is pulling his bank statement but they're still harrassing him daily - with the one being marked as satisfied should they really be chasing it?

He cant check with the company whether its been paid as the company no longer exist.

Is it on his credit file?

I would not trust anything that Lowell claim.

I think this is covered by the bit where she says "My brother has 2 defaults on his Credit Report" ;)

OP - did he actually default on these? If so, there's no chance of them being removed. If you're wanting to not pay any unsatisfied debt then I don't know too much about that and I wouldn't want to get into it I'm afraid. There are others who know a lot more than me on here who could help.
  • Oh no sorry its not the default he wants removing - am not being very clear today am i :o

ON his credit report - one of them is marked as "satisfied" - Brother believes he has paid it. Lowell are saying he hasnt. Original company is now none existant. I seem to remember its Lowell's responsibility to prove my brother owes it, rather than my brothers responsibility to prove its been paid.

I'm looking for the "prove it" letter - the only one i found was talking about a CCJ, which isnt correct in this case.
