End of fixed term mortgage, now what?

Mortgage question for the experts, my 2 year fixed rate thing will be ending next month, should I do anything?
As I understand it I move onto the SVR, the Halifax SVR is 3.99% which I'm almost certain is lower than my current rate (off hand it is around 4.6%). If it is lower should I leave it or do some sort of switching thing?
My current mortgage was my first hence the stupid question, I'm in Scotland if it makes any difference.

What's the value of your home, how much do you owe and how much do you earn?
If you have a lot of equity and haven't borrowed a large multiple of your income then there are likely to be better deals out there, this assumes you don't valve huge loans, credit card debts, defaults etc0
