What has happened to my pay day loan?

At the start of the year i took out payday loans from Wonga - the 1st one was paid back with no problem at all.
I took out a larger 2nd one and then not long afterwards my job came to an end.
I had tried to ring Wonga and email them on numerous occasions to explain my situation (most times not been able to get through or had no response) but the 1 time i did get through to them on phone i was just told me to fill in their i & e on their website - i did that and had no luck with it as it was telling me that as i had less than a £1 per month to offer.
I informed my bank of the situation and they were really good in terms of making sure payments could not be taken from my account on the repayment date due to my change of circumstances.
This was going back a few months now and i have heard absolutely nothing from Wonga - no letters, no phone calls, no emails - no nothing.
Have they washed their hands of the debt and passed it onto a DCA/written it off or what?
I stress that i am not trying to avoid this debt in anyway whatsoever - i am someone who has repaid loans in the past and fully intended to with the 2nd wonga loan i got - i just did not expect my job to end unexpectedly afterwards.
I am just puzzled as to why they have not been in touch in any way so far?

Don't worry about it - not your problem. You've kept in touch with them, the ball is in their court now.
They'll probably pass it onto a DCA at some point. What will your verse be?

Nearly 5/6 months down the line, i have still heard absolutely nothing about this - no letters from them, no letters from debt collectors - no nothing, all very strange to say the least.0

Does seem very strange not to have heard from a debt collector at all.
Wonga do have you correct address presumably?
I expect at some point you will hear from someone.
What shows on your credit file regarding this? is it showing as outstanding?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Ah yes it is - just checked on my noddle report and its showing up as 4 months late payment so i suspect it will soon go into default and thats when the DCA letters will begin to arrive?0

Don't fall into the trap! If you have no money in the first place and have to get a loan, you sure won't have enough when you come to pay it back either.0

I had a Wonga loan that I didn't repay and forgot about when setting up my DMP and it wasn't until about 11 months down the line I finally got a letter from Mackenzie Hall about it.
Whacked them on the old DMP with everyone else and job's a good `un0
