Having a bit of a hard time with this, Apart from the 1911 Census from the National Archives I can't find any more information online in regards to births, deaths, marriages etc everything seems to be held at the public records office in Belfast.

Am I missing something? Can this be done without trotting down to the PRO? There are sites like ancestry etc but don't want to sign up unless they are useful.
