going on hols and jsa

my bf is getting made redundent next month and we have a holiday to go on at the end of july will he be able to sign on while we are away.the holiday was paid for b4 he knew about the redundancy. he needs to sign on b4 we go as for the morgage insurance to kick in. plz help

    You are allowed ten days holiday per rolling year on JSA and don't have to sign on during it, but only if you are not going abroad.

    If you are going abroad you have to sign off your claim, although you can restart it when you return.
