Clydesdale Bank

The Yorkshire Bank have contacted me with a view to having my property re valued so as to see if I am viable to them, after being a customer of the Yorkshire Bank for some 20 odd years and repaid my first mortgage and re mortgaged in 2005 somewhat foolish, on reflection I made a fatal error of judgment as now I understand the Yorkshire are getting out of the commercial lending market and trying whatever way they can to get there money back even though you have paid up all your life and stuck to all your conditions. The question is can they recall my mortgage although I only have five years to go and it is paid and the valuation which I am being forced to have is going to cost ME around a thousand pounds for the pleasure. Has anyone else had similar experiences with the Yorkshire bank I am now paying the capital off my mortgage and I feel I am beeing bullied by them

If this is commercial lending, the only real answer we can give you is to read your actual lending contract and consult a solicitor if in doubt.I am a mortgage broker. Why is the bank requiring a valuation? Previous history means nothing. What matters is the state of affairs today and looking forward over the next few years.0
