Tax Rebate

Hello all,
I've got a semi unusual tax rebate query I wanted help on.
Basically I stopped working late September 2012 to go travelling for a year. I worked full time from April 2012 until September as normal and I haven't worked since then until now. Therefore I believe I'm entitled to a tax rebate for the period I haven't worked.
However I haven't actually technically left my job, my employment has continued and I intend to return once my travelling has finished. Therefore I haven't received a P45. I was told I'd need to complete a P85 but it seems to be for those who have worked abroad and I haven't worked at all during my time away. I haven't yet received a P60 for the tax year either.
Any advice of where I go from here? What will I need to provide the tax office in order to get my rebate?
Thanks for your help.

P60 is only for people who were in employment on 5th April. So if you were not, you won't get one.
You might still be, if you did not get P45 though.
But then you should be getting it by now - deadline is 31st May.
When you do get it send it to HMRC (a copy!) saying that you paid too much tax and are you due a rebate. If you don't get it, HMRC should still by then have all the details from all your jobs (ie that you didn't have one after September, because ALL employers must submitt P60s to them) and then again you should be able to request if there is any refund.0
