OR interview, and a message to YOU!

Hello everybody,

We have just had the telephone interview with the OR and it went really well. The SoA was agreed, we need not make any IPA payments unless income changes, and we are allowed to keep what little we have. (Phones, car, furniture etc.)

A lot of people think that BR is a very bad thing, and something you should be ashamed of. The truth of the matter, is that yes, it is serious. But unless you get into trouble through stupidity then it's sometimes the only way out. Our debts slowly mounted and we didn't realise the situation we were in/headed for until it was too late.

The offer of credit is so common, frequent, and easy to get. Being in debt is now a common way of living and it's often because you can't afford things you want, rather than things you need. I do think that lenders should be more considerate about who they lend to, and why they're lending. Perhaps offering high interest savings, instead of low interest loans. Obviously, we should have had more restraint, but we made a mistake.

We will now live more in line with Martins Mantra - (can I afford it, do i need it, will I use it... Etc)

Thank you to everyone who helped us with great advice and help. Without you all, thousands of people would have no where to turn. You should all be proud of yourselves. We are very grateful, thank you x
