'Prove It' for an Internet contract?

About a year ago, when we moved into the new house, we changed Internet provider from Be to Virgin because the service at the new house was atrocious and for the same price as we were paying to get up to 20M we could get 100M with Virgin. Anyway, as far as I knew I was on a 30day notice deal, paid in advance, so when I stopped my service and returned the router I believed hat to be all done with. I didn't hear anything further from Be, even via. email. Just recently, though, BCW DCA have started contacting me for £80-odd I 'owe' to Be. After arguing with them I've finally got through 'statements' (which look like rubbish I could type out in under 5 mins, not official at all). The statements are for months after I cancelled my service, and at my old address. Way can I send to BCW as a 'prove it', as I never signed any physical agreement.
I'll admit there are slight doubts in my mind (brought on by this, I didn't have them before) if its possible I forgot to actually call Be to cancel, or if I was on a 3 month rolling contract, not 30 day. Either way, Be did transfer my service to the new address, so bills for the old address must be spurious, surely?

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.

Lol. If me then I would persevere with BE to find out what is going on. I would only deal with or even talk to BCW once you know what they are chasing is valid. Their track record of lies and chasing fictitious debts means I wouldn't trust any sort of proof they offered.Still rolling rolling rolling......
