I have had an agreement with Capquest for ages, since March 2010, and have fulfilled all my payments. I do not appear to have had a statement of account for two years. I have just received a text asking me to call them. Should I ignore this and wait until they write to me ? I have just checked the reference number in the text to the reference number I have used in the oast and they do not match.

Demand a statement for the existing account (using the number you have) but do this in writing. Ignore the text. It sounds as if it might be for something else and if they want to communicate with you then they should do so in writing and properly so that you can decide how to deal with it. Doing it on the phone puts you at a severe disadvantage.

I will write to them. I certainly don't owe them anymore money and have no other debts. Thanks
