Hi DD,
It's no shame to be bad with money - don't take it so hard. I think you'll find you are in good company here! The most important thing is to know your limitations because then you can be aware enough to prevent further problems happening. You know that this situation will not get any better without making steps in the right direction. Have you ever worked out how much money you are losing every month in interest? That's usually a sobering exercise and a good motivational tool.

HOK3Y's right DD - it was when I saw I was paying my bank over 1000 pounds a year to be in an overdraft that I suddenly realised how CRAZY my situation was an how I had to get a grip!
Your OH sounds lovely - is he good with money? Could he give you some tips and tricks on how he manages his money?
Good luck with your journey!!!!!!
you've paid off a good amount so far just keep on plodding away - it can seem hard sometimes like nothings happening but then before you know it you'll be at 50% then 90% then debt free!!
