If that account is an old defaulted one that is now dropped off, then that settlement will NOT (re)appear on your file.
Technically the company will report the settlement to the CRAs, but because it is on an old removed account the CRAs will not allow it to show on your report.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I was going to send special delivery too, as they say it has to get there by a certain date and I don't want them to cash the cheque, say it got there late and withdraw the offer.
I also am a bit paranoid!
Even though you knew it was unenforcable you still paid? This is exactly how these scumbag DCA's make thier money.0 -
harveybobbles it was never unenforcable, I just took a long long time to pay it off :-( It was my debt and I have paid every penny off, maybe just me, maybe old school, but I got myself into this mess, and I have got myself out.
No-one will thank me of course, and maybe I should have gone bankrupt years ago, but never mind, I am at the end of a very long and sometimes dark road, and once done, I do not want anyone coming after me... ever!0 -
