Halifax:do they search noddle/call credit

I was just wondering do Halifax do credit searches on Noodle/call credit because a default has been wrong added to my credit file and I have managed to remove it from experian and equifax however it does show up on call credit/noodle (who are slow to act)

Also, can a default and other adverse information listed on your credit file be picked up on the soft search? (Alot of people apply get accepted but when it comes to the hard search they get declined due to defaults and what not)

    short answer is no.

Not many lenders do to be honest.

Only Halifax and experience would know this IMHO.

Think of your credit report as a 10 page electronic document. A soft search could mean access to the summary information from 1 page or all 10. Halifax may have a system in place that can utalise this summary information to intelligently process mortgage applications. Cases that require more detail may require a more in-depth assessment of your credit report. My guess is this type of access is treated as a hard search. What information is seen and how its processed we will not know as such details are confedential.

This works well for Experian considering the volumes of data they make available. Think of the number of database hits their system gets on a daily basis! Soft searches are faster and easier to process.

I dont think Halifax use noddle as we have in Nov been accepted for a mortgage with Halifax and neither a soft search or a hard search is showing on my account and they've def been done.

I was told by my Halifax BDM that they have access to Call Credit.

    How much was the default?

    Thanks all.
Call credit have suspended my account due to a massive security breach.
Wait for it ---- I sent an enquiry with 2 different email addresses and now they will not let me view my file. The other two are ok
