Thanks OP.

Purchased 2 skincare items today, but the witch at the Clarins counter would not let me have any free gifts. She insisted that I had to buy at least 3 items to get the free gift. I told her that the sign behind her said "buy 2 items to get the free gift" but she would not budge at all.

Who do I complain to? Boots or Clarins?

What a nightmare, she needs re-training. I'd be tempted to just dump it all there and go to another branch for proper customer service. Yes definitely get that complaint sent to Boots forthwith. Clarins may also want to know who's representing their brand at Boots.

Thats wrong, I would definately complain i would do it to both boots and clarins.
The girls in meadowhall boots were plugging the 2 offers and helping you to get the best deals.

Thanks NATASHA_H and HOWSABOUTIT. I don't know what the woman's problem was but this is normal for the big store in Leeds. I remember the other woman doing this last year too. I just don't get it. If Boots are that against both offers going out together, why do they not change their offer points to slightly later on? Soooo annoying!

The woman at the Huddersfield store is lovely. She throws in like 5 samples instead of 3, but I have no plans to be in that vicinity in the near future which is why I went to the Leeds one.

I will definitely be firing off a complaint.
