my bankruptcy is over the year clear now. where are the best places for me to apply for new credit so i can get a good credit rating again?

First, go online to the Insolvency Service website, look up your name...and the BR information will be right there.
It should state you have Automatic Discharge.
Print of a few copies of that page, for future use [it proves you are Discharged]!
For a credit card, it is probably best to wait for a year or so after Discharge, then apply to one of the sub-prime CCs, like VAnquis.
Your credit rating [for what it's worth?] will also be improved if you clean up your credit files, as per the stickies at the top of this forum.
It is recommended you wait a few months before attempting this, however.
The important thing to remember is, don't rush into these things, as you may well be disappointed.No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
