Hi just wondering if anyone was successful in buying the petrol generator from lidl last Thursday the 9th, I went to my local lidl (Ballyclare) at 8.45am could not see any or where they had been, asked the manager and was told none left, this was 3/4 of an hour after they came on sale, asked how many he had for sale and was told 1(one).
To say the least I am very disappointed with Lidl .

This can be common with Lidel, some stores don't seem to have all offers. Happens in other types of stores also.
What i do if i go into a store and there is a notice about the offer but it's not there, is to take the label down.

As mentioned, this is quite common with Lidl. I once went in to buy a garden hose and a lady beside me was filling up her trolley with them, to over flowing. She couldn't get the last one in the trolley so headed off and I lifted the last one. One minute later, she came back looking for it!
I have written to Lidl about this in the past and the response I got, was that store managers were supposed to keep an eye on this sort of thing. However, it still goes on. I don't think I have been able to buy any wine on offer, because it's all gone by the time I get there!
One time, I was in the store and this couple were hovering about the wine and shifting bottles about. When I got up to the till, they were paying for their boxes of wine, but the person on the checkout noticed that the bottles in the case were different. They had been taking dearer wine and mixing it in with the remaining "on offer" wine.
As for checking the stores for stock, I have rang the number of Lisl Ireland and also emailed customer service and they were able to tell me who had stock. I see they now have contact details for Northern Ireland, although I suspect these are in the South.

I was in a store near my FIL and they had some. But i bought one from Argos a year or so back.
No wheels on mine though. But i only paid £120 for it delivered.
I struck lucky when buying one of the Sat Dish kits a while back though. Looking in the store they didnt have any, There was a guy in a smart suit there who was speaking to the manager. I asked if they were going to get any in.
The guy phoned the office and found one in another store nearby and even reserved it for me.
