Notice of correction

Hi everyone
I have just been looking at my credit report, and although I am on a DMP - it looks quite healthy in terms of the payment history. However the overall score is not good.
I noticed that, this month, Orange have updated to say that my account has a late payment.
This is not entirely true. Last week I received a letter from Orange, saying that last November, they admittedly didn't take my payment due to a technical error, and said I would need to pay the outstanding amount by 30th May.
I was unhappy about this to say the least, as I am on a DMP, I do not have £86 extra to pay them this month, on top of my usual £36 tariff. I simply don't have it, and have yet to work out where I will get it
However, to then update my credit report stating that my payment is late is quite a kick in the teeth! What should I do about this? Is it worth adding a notice of correction as that is what Noddle advise, or is there any other way of sorting this out?
TIA

In addition, Orange even acknowledged in their letter, that my account would have shown as 'paid', so it is actually no fault of my own!Repaid: £4728, £2178 To Go...
