IPA/IPO - can it be temporarily?
Nevermore

My husband and I both had our OR interview yesterday and it went fine. As I am working and my husband is currently unemployed (and we can bareley live with my salary) the OR said we don't have to pay an IPA.
As it happens my husband suddenly found a temporary job, starting next week for about 2 months and he will earn approx. 800-900£ a month net.
I earn 1550£. We don't have any children, just one dog, but our rent is very high (living in London and it is 1100£).
Does anyone know how likely it is that we have to pay an IPA? Would we both need to pay it? Or just me because I earn more?
Once the temp job will be finished will they take the IPA off assuming we get one?

While you're not discharged, you have to tell the OR of any changes of circumstances within 21 days. So you need to tell them about your OH's temp job, & also when it will end. While he has the job, it may be that an IPA is put in place. However, once the job actually ends, you'll need to tell the OR again & maybe complete a new statement of income & outgoings to confirm the household finances. The OR will then review the IPA.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
