working tax credit form advice please

i am filling in my working tax credit form that tells them what ive earnt for the year etc. the question is earnings as an employee before tax and ni has been taken off. on my payslip for week 53 it says gross for tax td £21687.35. would this be the answer for that question that covers the whole tax year?
