end of 5 year deal question..............

hi guys. looking for an answer please!! my 5 yr fixed term deal comes to an end in july, then i'll be offered another option by nationwide. my question is- one of the options offered to me is to go onto nationwides variable rate. is this option open? ie- can i choose to come out of it at my convienience? thanks for reading, roy.

    but in most cases, the variable rate gives you freedom to leave at any time without any early repayment fee's.
    plus you can make overpayments at your leisure.
