Timber in the North East

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone knows of a good supplier of timber within travelling distance of the North East (Ballymena, Coleraine, Larne, Belfast all considered.)

I don't want lorry loads, just bits for DIY and crafts, but when you go into a builder's merchants, they just look at me like I am daft - I might want £30 - £40 worth at a time, and in various dimensions (2x1, 4x1, even 12x1)

I am fed up with going in places and feeling like a fool for asking. I make garden planters, and outdoor things like chairs, benches and so on.

Looking forward to hearing other people's experiences, and maybe a recommendation or two.

Thanks
