Refused credit / credit files?

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help? Last year I got very in debt with pay day loans. I have since set up a DMP with step change. The orginial credit agreements have since defaulted. I tried to open an account with barclays but refused due to credit scoring.
I would like to see my file, but the cheapest I can find is experian for £14.99 per month, after a free trial, but I did this 2 years ago and can't have a second trial just to see my file.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Can anyone recommend a way to see a credit file, without paying a lot of money to see it.
Thank you!

£2 for the statutory report from any CRAYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
