Hi i have my own limited company and work through a agency, now where i work there are 3 agencies in there, now its come to light that the other 2 agencies pay more money to the agency workers and make less profit on this job, my question is can the agency that sends us there block us from working for a rival in the same place?

That would probably depend on the relationships between the agencies and the client company. Officially, probably not, but who's to say that they couldn't put in a word on the quiet and you end up with no contract.
Also, are you sure that the agency are taking more money? They might be charging the client less.0 -
These situations can get messy and give a bad name to yourself. If you are happy with your take home pay dont always believe or worry about others. There will always be someone on a better deal. But you can ask the question to the client or other agency but wait for the contract renewal rather than mid contract which would look unprofessional.0

Usually able to swap after a 6 week break from the firm, all depends on your contract with the agency, some have upto 12 weeks. Most agencies will abide by this as well, so you may swap but they won't use you for the period. But as has been said can do more damage than good.0

Don't rock the boat unnecessarily - this isn't a time to find yourself opposing the structure that got you working, far too easy to end up putting a nose out of joint and not getting renewed at the contract end.0

It's all down to the contract. Where I work there are people from multiple agencies all doing the same job. My contract has a clause in that says that I (actually my limited company) have to pay the cost of the outstanding contract (37.5 * hourly rate * weeks left) if I move to a different agency at that location but doing the same job.
If you read your contract carefully then you will probably find a similar clause in yours. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you have been on the assignment for 12 weeks or more & the staff from the other Agencies are doing the same job, then under the AWR (2011) you are entitled to the same rate of pay. No ifs or buts about it.
It is something you need to take-up with your Agency. I would however, advise against switching to one of the rivals unless they can find you work elsewhere for a couple of months.Never Knowingly Understood.

Incorrect. The limited company has the contract not the individual. AWR will not apply. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

!!!!!! you are incorrect: AWR may apply to ltd companies
"Simply putting earnings through a limited company would not in itself put individuals beyond the possible scope of the Regulations."
It depends on your working arrangements.
However have you spoken to the company you are working at, I work in a similar manner and the hiring company ensures all workers are paid the same for the same job and allows the agencies a set percentage (still far too high for the zero work they do). Also we have an issue with the agency they allow us to move to another, valid reason required.
Despite the clause they may put in the fairly worthless contract you can change agency at the end of a contract, to do so would be abuse of the monopolies regulations.0
