This is a great scam. So I have to pay Equifax a membership in order to supervise them while they correct the credit file they have on me??
That's madness, what a great scam! Set up a credit agency, get everyone's details wrong, make them pay to be a member of your service and then take weeks and weeks to get around to correcting the information when people complain, and in the meantime just watch the bank balance grow. :T

I assume Equifax is the sameYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

You can buy a £2 statutory copy of your credit report without joining up as a member. This will have all the relevance information you need - you can get this from Experian or Equifax. Noddle is free for life.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

In October last year I defaulted on a credit agreement and my Equifax file recorded the default with 6 months of late payments. I cleared the arrears and the outstanding balance by March 12th of this year and closed the account.
Equifax updated my records around the 23rd of March. The current balance was changed to zero and the status for March was updated to 6 payments late. In April it was again updated to show 6 payments late and the red default notice was changed to a green arrears notice The "Date Last Delinquent “ was also updated to April. The account also still shows as open.
I asked Equifax if this was correct and they said as the company confirmed I had missed 6 payments they would not change their records. The problem I have is I am not disputing the fact I had missed 6 payments. I just don’t understand how I can have a delinquent account and be in arrears with a zero balance. Is this correct0 -

I asked Equifax to change my address to my current one and received an email a few days later saying it had been done with a link to a free statutory report as evidence.
Very happy with them for exceeding my expectations.0 -
To update, have had details updated, but service is fairly slow.
I still don't like their call centres, and what else are these guys doing with their time?
Fairly clunky site, hopefully won't need to use these guys again0
