Car allowance

Hi, I'm going for a job interview and there is a car allowance of £5K a year. How would this work with BR? I think it's a case of get your own car and they pay you to use it.

I hope I get the job as I was made redundant a few weeks ago.

Any input would be great.

    Your assumption is correct.

Is your present car likely to be acceptable to this employer? (age/mileage/engine size etc)

How do you propose to purchase a suitable car if it isn't?

Hi, I still have use of my old company car at the moment and don't have my own car. I was thinking about asking a relative to lease a car and pay the leasing company direct would this be ok for the OR?
