Help With Nursery Debt Of £2253.60

Hi all,

I am seeking help with a old nursery debt that currently stands at £2253.60.

We put both of our boys into a nursery once my partner got better after a long pregnancy illness (SPD) and after 6 years on DLA. We started our own cleaning business and struggled to pay the £1000/£1200 nursey bill each month, resulting in the £2253 debt we now have.

We are sent statements via post every few months requesting for payments, but not threatening.... Yet!!

We both dispute the entire debt as we have lack of information regarding payments made to them and other financial details needed to come to their supposed remaining balance.

We both know the original Nursey agreement was made after 2007, possibly 2009.

Can we dispute debt this via a CCA?

Thank you in advance,

Have you asked for a break down of the payments you made to them and the balances ending each week/month and then tallied them up with bank transferred used to pay this, or did you pay by cash and if so have you kept the receipts? You clearly owe them money as you said that you often struggled to pay it at the end of the month. So are you disputing owing them anything or just the figure they are claiming you owe?

    Thank you for the interest......

We always paid cash and were handed a 4inch piece of paper with hand written confirmation. Sometimes we got them, sometimes we did not, depending whether the manager was in that day or not. We normally got a handful a fe months later, which played havoc with filing them correctly.

Some were lost, some we stuck to the bottom of the car seats or used a scribble pads during a long journey :o!!

I have a whole folder full of A4 invoices from them that came through the post when payment was due at the time. These invoice do not detail any payments.

Again is a CCA request achievable for this type of debt?

A credit agreement request? Personally I don't think that would apply in this instance. It isn't credit as such.
