I got my money back, however, I rejected them as soon as they came in store.
As for dry eyes & unable to wear contact lenses...I suffer with dry eyes & a condition called Blepharitis. I get round the problems by using a product called Lumecare, which I use at night before bed. I also clean my lids (area close to eyelashes) morning and evening with Saline.
The lenses I have are Johnsons Acuvue Oasys. These allow much more oxygen to get to the eye, which helps to stop my eyes drying out.
Maybe look into trying lenses again. Ask when you go to an independent opticians regarding your glasses.0 -
Thank you.
May I ask if you have a high prescription? That has always been an issue for me wearing soft contacts. I used to wear gas permeable as they produce them to high levels.0 -
PS Just googled them - looks like they go up to +8

I have a very very high short sighted prescription. Much much higher than yours.
To be honest, I don't know what I would do if I couldn't wear contact lenses. I'm blind as a bat lol, so wearing contact lenses gives me much more freedom.
I also feel very vulnerable when I wear my glasses outside. If they got knocked off, I'd be totally defenseless.0 -
ok - decided! Glasses going back. Will just have to walk away if they won't refund. Lesson learnt. Then will go back to my usual independent for a contact lens trial. Will have to overcome the complete terror of going without glasses for 18 years.0
