Hounded for 9 Years now!!

Hi,
Can anyone please advise me............I had a debt back in 2004 of which I paid off and had confirmation of this.
I am still being hounded by debt collectors for this and every year am having to send all correspondence to them over and over again.
How can I put a stop to this as surely cant be good for my credit score let alone my sanity!!

Thanks for that Trajai, but have been doing that for 9 years now and yet again they are on my back.

You don't need to send them all your correspondence, they have no rights to this. The onus is very much on them.

Just send them the 'prove it' letter and they should go away.

Have you taken a look at your credit file to see what this is being reported as?

If it's 9 years ago, it's clearly very far statute barred.
