Solva - wonderful harbour town with tea rooms
Whitesands - great surfing beach near St Davids
    Newgale - another great beach
St Davids - wicked littel city with ruined catherdral and surf shops
Tenby - seaside town with famous Italian icecream Parlour (if it still exisist) - you can take boat trips out and about from here - typical seaside town
Saundersfoot - seaside town with not much more than lots of caravans

jsut drive about and enjoy the scenery, it's very very beautiful

Oakwood Park great for the kids........some really scarey rides, pay for a family ticket and stay all day.

Folly Farm again great for the kids, it's full of animals just a little further up the road there a Chocolate Factory you can eat as much as you like.

Haverford West bloody big smelly oil refinery, but the town is okay.
Pembroke/Penbroke Dock small places dont blink or you'll miss them, mind you you will be glad you do miss them.
Cleddau Bridge (toll bridge 75p to cross) you will need to cross this bridge to get to various parts of the county or you will have to add 20 miles plus to your journey going the long way round.

Once you get to St Clairs 10-12 miles past Carmarthen on the A40 the roads are a nightmare, so are the drivers.
Aiming to be debt free....but still off target

Boat trips from St Davids are fab. Fast boats around Ramsay Island, knowledgeable guides, our kids (aged 7 - 13) loved it and so did the adults.

Your 12 yr old would love :

    https://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk and https://www.heatherton.co.uk

My home town is Milford Haven lmao ,not a great place to live ( would never go back to live!) but gets tonnes of tourists for some reason ! ;)

Further on past Milford are some lovely little places, Little haven ,Broad Haven etc ( or you can get there from Haverfordwest too )

Pembrokeshire has the best beaches & walks along the coastal path :)

    http://www.pcnpa.org.uk/

Enjoy ,hope it stays sunny for you ! :)

Haverfordwest is OK - I think you mean Milford Haven?

Just to add to the list:
Heatherton ( an outdoor adventure park =archery, paintball, clay pigeon, crazy golf, pedal boats great for older kids.) just outside Tenby.

Canaston bowl ( bowling alley and the Crystal maze based on the cult TV show great on a rainy day) just up the road from oakwood.

Phoneix bowl ( another bowling alley ) in Milford haven  I dont see anything wrong with milford my self. The shops along the new marina development are really nice.

Clerken Hill adventure farm ( a great frizzbe golf course great fun on a windy day. Quite cheap aswell if you just do the frizzbe golf.) Just outside haverforwest.

Silent world aquarium ( Have you guessed what it is yet ):rotfl: in Tenby.
