I have been sent an invite to become part of something called 'Start My Ripple' which seems to be clouded in a degree of mystery. Is anyone a member of this ? What do you do ? Does it cost anything ? Are you compensated at all ?

That tells me all I need to know about it. Anything this secretive is likely to be a MLM scam or similar.
Add in the facts that their website gives no details of who is behind it and they use privacy protection to hide the details of the domain registration and it looks even worse.0 -

Is it Rippln?
I signed up to this a few weeks ago to find out more because someone passed me an invite. It looks okay - nothing too sinister - though I think those with smartphones will get more out of it than me. Tbh I'm still not 100% sure what exactly it will be doing - it was in some sort of beta release when I joined up and I haven't been back yet. There was a NDA so I don't think I can say more (tbh I'm not sure I could if I wanted to - it's all a bit vague!).
I do have some invites if anyone wants a look 'behind the curtain' - I think I have five unused because I never bothered sending them out. (If it's not okay for me to say that let me know and I'll remove).0 -
Not sure what it is but found this in google http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/20897540

That was pretty interesting - I've seen a couple of discussions like that. It looks as if nobody really knows what this app is or what it does!0

That should be the biggest warning sign for anyone considering signing up for it.
Who would you contact or chase if they don't pay you?

A friend of mine sent me an invite for this so I joined, didn't cost me anything and I must admit I haven't looked at it since! When I've got a bit more time I'll try and get some more info!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'
