Wages mistake...question

I have been off sick with fractured ribs, I did return to work for a short period but ribs keep cracking.
I returned to work for 5 days of April, the rest was sick,
when I checked my wages in bank I knew they were several hundreds of pounds more than they should of been, I collected my wage slip from work and still could not understand what my boss had done wrong....after a few days I realised she had added the sick pay into the total twice, I told her of this and returned the money to her, explaining what she;d done and that my wages and wage slip were completely wrong as nothing added up and she had shown deductions for Tax and NI but not deducted them....( the Tax wasn't payble anyway)
She has now given me another wage slip...but I'm still confused this is what it states...
Gross to Date: 721.23 SSP 235.40
Tax: 38.77 Gross wage 250.43
NIee's: 7.97 Sub Total 485.83
Total: 46.74 Dedutions 46.74
Net 439.09
( May need to adjust sick pay in May wages )
£282.14 diff ( 721.23 - 439.09 )
You will have adjustment for Tax returned ! ( I would hope )
That is exatly what it says, I knew she wasn't sure if she had sick pay right as she said system wouldn't let her work it out until she'd done P60s?
But the Tax does not make sense either, it is a very small company ( childrens Day Nursery )
Could someone please look at this for me?
PS: I have returned £235.40 to employer already.

Might be a good idea to ask the Board Guides to move you to Cutting Tax board?Signature removed for peace of mind0

It would be easier to help if people knew your hourly rate, how many hrs you work a day week/ exactly what you were off, if the pay is weekly/monthly/4weekly/fortnightly. Do your company pay in full when you are sick or just ssp. Is that the adjusted payslip? Does it show the minus money you paid back? What did the payslip before say? Without this info its hard to tell if its right or not.0

Thank you, hourly rate is £6.34
Hours vary from week to wekk from a minimum of 18 to a maximum of 30 ( even though I've been there 19yrs...no set hours!! ) somedays are half days ranging from 4.5hrs to 5 others are full days ranging from 8.5 to 9 hrs
We are paid on the last working day of the month,
Just SSP
That is the adjusted payslip it doesn't state I refunded £235.40
the payslip before said
gross to date 721.23
tax to date 38.77
NIee's 7.97
SSP 8 days 235.40
gross wage 250.43
subtotal 485.83
deductions 46.74
net 721.230 -
A quick google search shows SSP per week is £86.70. The money you paid back should have been deducted on a payslip as then the NI & tax could be changed. Hopefully someone can help with exact figures but gives u a start!0
