Therapeutic earnings

Does anyone have any recent knowledge of the above, particularly what benefit has to be on to access it? I'm on JSA now but receiving DLA too.

Many thanks for any info you are able to provide.

You use to be able to do this on the old 'Incapacity Benefit' and was later changed to 'Permitted Work'.

I'm sure if you can still do it on ESA but you will not get it on JSA as it's sickness benefit related scheme.

Your GP would need to sign you off as not fit for work and give you a fit note which you'd then submit with your claim. I think you might have to close your JSA claim first though. You'd then be sent an ESA50 to complete and that would either lead to a descion or they would ask you to attend a medical-which would either find you fit for work or place you in the WRAG or support group.

I *think* you may have to be on the main phase before you can do permitted work but i'm not exactly sure of that. You might get more info on the benefits forum.
