Can I get a mortgage?

I wouldnt worry too much I think you will be ok. It may be worth putting a notice of correction on your credit report explaining reason y u ended up defaulting,

Iv just managed to get a mortgage with Halifax even though I have 6 missed payments on my report from a year ago. This was down to my ex employer not paying staff for several months.

All u can do is try and if u get declined then leave it for a while. The older ur default the better.

There are a few lenders that would accept a default. If I was u I would go to a broker like I did. They have info to what lenders will not accept. Every lender is different.
