Face To Face OR Interview What To Wear?

Hi all,
My interview is on Monday with my OR, was scheduled for last monday but they rescheduled it once they realized it was a bank holiday. I'm self employed so was expecting a face to face interview to deal with everything. I'm wondering how to dress though? In the court I knew to wear a suit but do I need to wear a suit for this interview?
Or will smart casual be ok?
I know it's a bit trivial, but its things like this that I over think?
Thanks

Not trivial. Smart casual will be fine. As long as you are bathed and don't smell I am sure the examiner won't worry too much if you are in a pair of clean, pressed jeans and an open shirt/plain tshirt/polo shirt.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

I wore smart(ish) casual to court, would probably go smart casual to the interview.0

Good luck on Monday. Don't sweat it - if you don't have a ready answer to something just say so. I didn't have my previous year's tax figures and when the examiner asked why I truthfully said that I couldn't afford the accountant (my accountant was actually one of my creditors!). He was fine with that.

One thing, don't wear any expensive jewellery / watches if you have any.0

Won't the OR ask about expensive watches and jewellery anyway? If so, what's the difference, unless you're suggesting not disclosing such items to the OR?All my friends and neighbours helped me pack and move for free, at first I was happy until I got told no one liked me and they just wanted to make sure I left. Thanks Mum and Dad.0 -
there is no dress code that applies in this instance.
The OR is interested only in factual information...and is not 'supposed' to allow personal impressions to enter into things.
You are not trying to sell anything.
In a Court, whilst again there is no dress code, 'conservative' dressing demonstrates a respect for the Court itself..[nothing to do with those in it].
It is probably contrary to Insolvency Service discrimination practices, to discriminate against [or for] someone because of the way they look.
And the OR will be acutely aware of that. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Go dressed as Darth Vader, If the OR asks any awkward questions just say "I find your lack of faith disturbing" and reach towards them as if you are going to choke them with telekineses. That should change the subject.
Or you could just wear a suit and be yourself. up to you really.
My OR was very nice to deal with, try not to worry about it.
Good luck.0 -
