i won some designer sunglasses from a twitter contest from pretavoir. i gave them my address details via dm but they sent them to the wrong address. have addressed this with royal mail gone around to the address but the recipients are saying that the parcel is theirs as it was delivered to them. my name was on the package but they signed for it. advice gratefully accepted

Sorry to hear about that. How awful. I would personally contact the local police station to ask for their advise and get a crime reference number. Then contact the company you won the sunglasses from. Hopefully they will be understanding and send some new ones out to you. I know in some comp t&c's they sometimes say they won't take responsibility for items going missing ect. Its worth looking at them if you can.
Hope you sort it out. xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

next stage is to go to said house and try and get a resolution ie. they hand over my property and i'll drop the charges:mad: (maybe)don't get downhearted if you don't win today-you may win tomorrow :cool:0 -

Definitely contact the police, hope they do something about it. At least you can show the crime reference number to the company and hope they'll be good enough to send you some more.
It's not finders keepers, it'll come under the unsolicited goods act I think... you're only allowed to keep if no one comes looking for them for six months! Refusing point blank to hand it over is theft, I hope you have some luck with the police.0 -
