What’s the deal?
Online restaurant booking site toptable is running an rewards points offer for those in the know. If you book and dine before 5 June, you can get another meal free.
Now I wouldn't get too excited about it as its not free meals in any restaurant, but only at selected restaurants in London and Edinburgh. However if you regularly book via toptable you may as well do it this way to get the extra meal ontop.
How to grab your free meal
Click through this specific link and book a table before 5 June (only reservations made through this link will count).
You’ll then be awarded 1400 toptable top reward points, which you can use towards a second meal. The free meal is only valid for one person though, so your friend will have to pay.
Where can you get your free meal?
While you can make your first reservation at any restaurant, you have to take your free meal at one of the following four restaurants: Herbe Bistro (Edinburgh), The Bountiful Cow (WC1), Mango Tree (SW1), Awana (SW3). See full details of the Toptable reward scheme.
Full T&Cs
Book and dine before 5th June and we’ll buy your next meal - for free!
1. Offer valid only if booking is made through clicking on dedicated links.
2. To receive this promotion you must book and dine by 5th June 2007.
3. Free meal will be in the form of 1400 toptable top reward points, which can be redeemed at participating restaurant specified here.
4. Free meal must be taken within one year.
5. 200 pending points will be added to your account after you have dined and rated your meal. Restaurants must be rated by 7th June 2007 and the remaining 1200 points will be awarded by 30th June 2007.
6. Offer limited to one booking per person.
7. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other toptable offer.
8. toptable.co.uk reserves the right to terminate the Rewards Scheme or to change these Terms and Conditions, regulations, or benefits of participation, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice, even though changes may affect the number of Reward Points accumulated by the user.
9. For full top reward point terms and conditions click here
10. Standard toptable.co.uk terms and conditions apply.

This deal sounds really good. But you have to go and eat out at a restaurant first in order to get a voucher for one free meal at one of four restaurants (one in Edinburgh and three in London). So in reality you would have to take your other half out for dinner and then have to pay for them again when you take them to the free restaurant because you only get one free meal. On top of that Edinburgh's free venue, the Herbe Bistro, is pretty cheap to eat at anyway so you won't be saving much at all. After taking in to account eating at the first restaurant and then eating at the Herbe Bistro you will probably have saved yourself about 10%. Given that you've been forced to eat at the Herbe Bistro is that saving worth it? Not really.0

But it's not every day you get something for nothing - it's free to join and toptable are stacked with dining offers like 2 for 1 and free wine!0
