Friends Life - Selftrade - SIPP option?

My work is likely to move to a Friends Life pension plan (New Generation I believe), which has a range of low cost passive funds. I am considering setting this up as a portfolio based on Hale and Ferri type asset models. The FL fund range is a little limited and you can only choose ten.
One option we can exercise as we are getting enhancements for moving from a DB scheme is the SIPP option. This seems to be through Selftrade.
I've had a look at the website and it might be ok for ETF's but they don't seem to offer much by the way of clean funds - nor is there any mention of commission rebates. Is that correct, if so it looks pretty uncompetitive?

selftrade didn't have clean funds when i last looked. i think the best they had was the HSBC retail class trackers.
their pricing model will have to change for the platform review, which adds uncertainty.0 -

Yes, thanks, I think I may just stick to core nil charge funds or nil charge managed as we seem to have quite a few to choose from. It looks like you could opt for SIPP later.0
