Hi,
Just out of pure curiosity, just wondered what rates people are getting at the moment?
Im a FTB, best offer we had was with nationwide at 5.8% fixed for two years.
is this about right at the moment?

I'm on 5.69% variable. 5.8% sounds ok - not sure what your LTV, fees etc are so can't comment. Best bet is to check out sites like moneysupermarket, I guess.0

There are some slightly cheaper deals, but you would need to see if they would agree the mortgage amount for you and what benefits you woudl want from the mortgage scheme i.e. do a like for like comparisonI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. im a first time buyer and looking to buy a flat for £195,000 with a mortgage of 75%-80%. What can i expect to get with a deposit of that size? Also will i get a better rate if i put down 25% rather than 20%? I have set up a meeting with a advisor but want to know what to expect.
thanks0
