Lost payslip - Halifax mortgage proof of income

Hi!

I'm currently on maternity leave and moving house. Me and my partner have been approved for a halifax mortgage, however, they require my last months payslip from before I went on maternity leave......and I have lost it!! I've contacted my place of work but as the headquarters are not where I work (I'm a nurse in a private hospital) it is hard to get a duplicate payslip. The HR assistant based where I work has said she can issue me with my P11 PAYE form, this includes everything that my payslip would contain and more......however it isn't a payslip. Does anyone know if this would be accepted as proof of income?? I have contacted halifax but I have to wait for my mortgage advisor who is back at work on the Monday. I now have all weekend to worry about is OT being accepted.........! I also have my p60, my employment contract and bank statements showing all my pay going in.

  • Hi sorry i don know if they would accept it but im applying for a mortgage with halifax on my own and im on maternity leave all they asked for is a payslip before i went on maternity and i sent them two from a few months before i went on maternity not my last one. have you got any before you went on maternity i also got my employer to write me a letter guranteeing hours. Sorry if it isnt very helpful.
  • Hi!!

Thanks for that, no I don't have any payslips at all from last year :/ I'm really naughty and don't keep them! (I've well and truly learnt my lesson!) Was it your manager that you got the letter from? Or did you have to go higher? I'm really worried because our independent mortgage advisor messed us around and the whole application process was delayed anyway, now I'm concerned we could lose the house that we want.

    Amy.
  • i dont as such keep payslips they just hide in my drawers lol. and yeh i gave them my headoffice address and my store manager wrote me a letter as i dint have proof of my return date, they did send a letter back to my store manager though i needed this as have a silly contract for 6 hours a week but never had 6 in my 6 years of working there so they needed to verify so they did write back to my store manager rather than my head office. just make sure the letter has there company logo and a adress to contact if needed as they probably will to make sure it legit. they sent 3 letters to my store manager 2 have been asking for exact same which my manager has sent back there just been funny onions though. as my sellers now getting impatient so same boat. though speak to halifax via broker and see if it would be a option.
