Devastating news for Messrs Devon and shorty.
After a triple (or tripple) dip failed to materialize, now even the double dip looks doubtful. :rotfl:0 -
Another one who thought about DLW when they read the piece and also thought it would have been a much bigger story on the BBC had the change been the other direction...I think....0

depends if you live in BBC land where even good news has to be bad.
The press and especially the BBC, have scared most folk into thinking even good news is bad. It's about time they put a positive slant on the news instead of picking up surveys from tiny interest groups and making a scare story out of them.
Sorry Michaels did not see your post. Agreed0 -
Ah..its always good to make stuff up to feel better about things
Can we pretend that growth will actually be about 50% so we all get pay rises?0 -

Thanks for the concern Prickypants.
Devastated is not the word.0 -
This was the part that leapt out for me:
Exports to non-European markets grew 10% on the previous month, with exports to the US up by more than 20%, though exports to EU countries were broadly flat.
The evidence is mounting up overwhelmingly & yet still there are those who'd have us believe that Europe is the future & we must stay part of it.0 -

Using MoM export figures to prove that Europe isn't part of the future is a little tenuous.0 -

Well I'm gutted; I'd got first dibs on a quadruple dip forecast.
Graham will be forced to admit that he didn't forecast a triple dip after all and, as suspected, he just mentioned the words 'tripple' dip in a post he made after a few cans of white lightening.
Maybe if the three of us get together and have a group hug we can wish a recession on the UK. DLW might come and I'm sure Ed Balls would want to take part.0 -

Well it is easy to have the word tipple in your head when you're having a few and you're trying to type the word triple.
Easy mistake to make.
