Thanks to whoever posted about the debs travel ins last night, tcb has tracked and I have a £5 voucher sitting in my inbox - paid 2.83 so 6.96 profit in 6 months when the cashback eventually pays!

Oh, meant to add, thanks for the new thread. Don't post all that much but do try to keep up and help out if I can.

Can I just ask how you spend the voucher? I understand its in-store only but youve been sent it by email? Is there a voucher to print out and take in-store?

just been shocked by dd who told me her and oh are going to look at a house for sale, i asked if she is putting hers on the market and she said no renting it out and buying a bigger one
what is so shocking is they are both 22 have 2 kids brought there first house 2 years ago and do not have a mortgage and are not in high paid professions he is on recycling and she was working in a cafe as only job around

just shows what honest hard work and being careful with your money (with help of the elite) can get you.

Wow, that's amazing ! Does that mean she's making room for a stash if she doesn't already have one? :D
If we hadn't made some silly mistakes we'd have paid off our mortgage within a few years :(
    Hindsight's such a wonderful thing!
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Back from Manchester with over an hour to spare. Why is the motorway always like whacky races on a Friday? don't think I could go back to doing that everyday ;)

:T I hope my kids all grow up with views like that.
That being said I had a conversation with my Dad this week about money and he spoke about spending and not saving when money was good and how they didn't want me to make the mistakes they did (which I've gone and done anyway :( ), which means my kids will probably make my mistakes too :(
It upsets me sometimes to think if we'd done things differently we could be living in a fantastic house now and not having to scrimp and save and hope we get the house we want and need eventually in the future.
I'm hoping with everything I learn from the Elite that day will come around eventually.
You lot have no idea how much of a difference everything I've learnt so far has already made :j

Thanks for the voucher fuzzgun19, I will check out their prices.
Shell 5p off, I cant find a list of stations I can use it at, and I have in the back of my head I read somewhere that it is only ones where they put the petrol in for you. So be careful if you are only going there because of the voucher, as they may not take it.

There was a 10p off/liter but when I checked my local participating station they said there was a limited number of vouchers and they'd all gone. Was still worthwhile though as I discovered that this petrol station sell Shell for the same price as Tesco carp.

    Cue debate on diesel/petrol brands;)
