Sorry to have gone AWOL again. Has been a mixture of good and bad that has kept me away. Have no idea what the current deals are but will try and keep up a bit more from here.

Had a lovely evening out with DH to the cinema on Saturday night. Was  at the price these days (been years since I last went) but enjoyed the film (Gatsby) and was great to have some time just the two of us that didn't involve an appt.

Since then evenings have involved poorly DH or me being totally knackered. Even went to bed before the boys one evening :o
Have developed over the last week a strange numbness/pins and needles/burning sensation/swelling in my hands that is driving me crazy. Is stopping me sleeping well so have been even more tired than before. Saw Dr yesterday who seems to think it is carpal tunnel syndrome and unrelated to chemo etc but i'm not convinced. Will see how it goes and perhaps go back and see someone else. Wouldn't want to be well for too long :p

Hope everyone is doing ok. Have caught the odd snippet here and there but will just have to throw some random hugs about :D

    Yay it's Logie :T

If you're unhappy or uneasy about it then absolutely go back and see someone else about it asap :)

cauciuca, love pics of your kittens.

Logie, nice to see hear from you, only asked if anyone had heard from you this morning. I do hope its not carpal tunnel, its sooo annoying, I have had it in both hands, had the operation on both aswell to relive it, and had not worked, so still get pins and needles in hands and arms, and drop plates, cups, glasses, all the time, as I can't feel them.

I feel really disappointed with the media. How could they show without warning a man dying in the middle of the road and giving his killer a voice. Sometimes free speech should not be promoted.

Carpal tunnel can be very very painful and it is hard to put your arm somewhere at night to stop it hurting. Had both mine done to, in 1996, and much improved, though still troublesome at times

    Hello all, just popping in to say many thanks to various ops for the heads up with;

    Pasta - 9 packs @ 15p
    Oil - 2 small bottles @ 59p
    Maggi So Dry - 4 @ 15p
    Fruit/Veg Coupons - all 3

Also picked up 2 small packs of Tilda Rice for kids at the reduced section marked at 50p each but went through till at 25p.

Gave my friend some coupons to use and she was delighted and got some bargains as well. Can now pass on pasta to sister and daughter as well as 2 x Petrol vouchers.

Thanks to all concerned and hope everyone has a nice evening. xx

Hi, and phew!!:):) Though I have probably, now, already been upstaged (quite rightly) by the above post. I never seem to manage to find anything as good as that, and I don't know how you all do it!:D:o

Just back from the Morries collection - and a lot of frustration:mad::mad::mad: around the sauces aisles - you'd be forgiven for thinking they were trying to cause confusion by the number of different sauces, slightly different sizes and different offers running on some, but not all, of the versions within the varieties. Just almost too much, thought never actually too much, for me!!:D

I'd also thought this week would be just a quick check around, deleting off the ones expiring on 19/5 and no more significant ones to add - how wrong I was - it even took longer than last week - and not helped by me deciding beforehand to reorganise the order of the products on my list so that I could get the prices easier - in fact I ended up confusing large parts of it and making things worse rather than better! Anyroad, never mind - I had plenty of time, as I went there around half an hour earlier than normal - just not expecting to arrive back this late!!:(:rotfl::rotfl:Aside, it was a nice relaxing evening, relaxing collection of pricing, away from the sometimes hectic pace of life elsewhere!:rotfl:

So - this week, what I think to be (subject to being contradicted) a fantastic offer on the 500g Sunflower Spreads - own brand, both light and original - they're now 75p bogof, 'whilst stocks last', in M. So I was ripped off getting them Avs M on the straight 75p a number of times. At around 68p (assuming, and it's a big assuming, all goes well on the APG) for 1kg of spread, it's an excellent price! Stock up now?? It would seem to be less risky buying one of each type, one light and one original, but this relies on the 75p price on both items being picked up and the bogof on the mix and match in M being picked up on both items.

Others - simply nowhere near a 'full list' - and there's "loads more" - Typhoo Tea Original (80) still £1.14 in M, but returned N/A on the APG, but there are some non-comparable Thompsons 80 Tea Bags available for £1 straight in M. (This doesn't take into account whether T/S/W have any £1 for 80 teabags, comparable to A, and therefore 90p net via the APG.)

Jacobs Oddities 5 pk, 79p again. Various Burton's Dodgers 50p a pack. So it was right to ignore the 50p offer in A and to buy them now they are £1.19! Should be 45p via APG. However, there's an anomaly on a couple of them - offer labels and SEL in M say 140g but they say 150g on the packs themselves. They are 150g and therefore the same size as the ones in A, however APG may pick up SEL details and adjust for weight which doesn't work out as good.

Mug Shots (I think the two usual ones I keep mentioning periodically on my list) are now 37p each in M (until 2/6).

The 4 pack Kiwi Fruit has reappeared and is at 50p in M. The Cantaloupe Melon is back at £1, having had about a week on 2 for £3, then back to £1 again. Giant Pineapple £1.

The running story on the pears: first we had the M Savers pears at 90p and about 1kg. So v. good value and much larger than A's version (bought them in M). Then they went to 800g, still 90p. Not as good, but the pear variety changed, so excellent to have different pears. Then, last week, they became a 'minimum 5' pack at 90p. Weighed them and they were down to 650g or 700g. Rubbish in my view. Now - they are just 4 pears in the pack in my store and 90p! Definitely not worth it in my view. Meanwhile, the M Sweet Pears - which are not the ones called Savers - have suddenly got the same variety as the Savers Pears had last week and they (the Sweet Pears packs) are now quite heavy - weighed them, they are nearly 900g and £1 for a pack. So, if it's worth it, it's onto them and away from the Savers! Every single week it seems to change and, for a moment, I thought the loose pears had suddenly become cheaper than the various packs - cynics would say it's there to get most people to overpay at least some of the time.

Mentos Mints and Mentos Fruits (both 5 pack) are now on £1.38 bogof. Only A and M have the 5 pack versions. Ignore the next two - it'll only leave you with tempting items you don't need - the McCoys 15 pack variety are £2 (though that's worse per multipack than the 3 for £5 offer of some time back) - sure there's better options on A-glitch instead - and the Ritz Cheese or Original Crackers are on 2 for £1.50 mix and match to 9/6.

Savers White Muffins (4) are on 49p in M - assuming there is an equivalent SP version avail. in A - but whoopsies may be cheaper.

Some of the Homepride Cook in and Pasta Bakes (500g) are £1 in M.

There may be some Pork Chops that work out cheaper than the SP Pork Chops, if I can manage to have found one that's comparable. I've got through the fresh meat aisle and now on to try to link some additional items up - so there may be some more from there!

The Pork Shoulder (non-comp from A, but comp. from T) is now £3.33/kg with a crossed out £5.00. No mention of the £2.50/kg price they were at on one recent week.

Don't let the SP Flour catch you out. The Self-Raising version has suddenly risen to 60p in M. Only the Plain Flour is still at 45p.

Regarding the Pot Noodle 90gs, included last week on a 'flash offer', that were mentioned although 10% off 50p is not very good value to me, I'm not totally sure whether they are still 50p in M this week. I know that at least the Chicken & Mushroom version came back N/A on the APG last time. The Pot Noodles have now been moved in my M to the end aisle with a big 50p offer showing, and no end date, but on the ones still left in the normal place in the aisle itself, it has the 50p offer and says "until 19/5" on it. It might be continuing, because they're now on the gondola, but the original offer label, still in place, suggests not.

In case there is ever a glitch on the APG, there are some Listerine 500mls on 2 for £5 in M.

Finally, this has been omitted from the M list last week but is still on - not mentioned as it's price was not good enough for me, I've seen it cheaper - but the Linda McCartney 6 Veg Sausages are £1.12 in M (to 9/6). Also the Rosemary & Onion version same price.

Okay, that'd better be it from me tonight, it's getting late, so I'll see you later, probably tomorrow but don't know if a carryovers list will be on by then, lots of items to add again thereafter - but we have an extra day this weekend:j:) - and it also means there's two more days left if I go and do some of this on Saturday. Anyway - I'm waffling;) - so carryover here tomorrow or Friday evening and then new items on a new list itself from about Friday onwards.

(Long post... says all of what's needed for tonight so that's it from me for tonight...)

    Good night!:):)
