    Hello elities!

Back from the exhibition. It was incredible to be that close to art works I've admired for years. And Lichtenstein is so prolific! Didn't realise he also made sculptures as well as the pop art stuff..

We saw it a few weeks ago. Loved it. However, I think all the dots gave me a migraine! Ended up having the next day off work!

No supermarkets for me today. On our way back from Doncaster. Ds2 in BMX comp. He is v happy with his trophy for 2nd place. Did manage about £10 on APGs yesterday though!

    I guess I'm lucky I have a teenage Son.

I'm dreading when DD hits teenage years, I wonder if I should try trading her off now (she's fully trained in the art of wombling :D ) is there such a thing as time share for kids.... :rotfl:

I think I managed to leave a sharpie on the kitchen table but I'm not 100% sure. Why is it I can never find a pen when I need one yet DS2 always seems to have one in his hand :rotfl:
Did it come off the sofa? DS drew all over some of his toys I've managed to scrub clean and his Ikea toy box I know I'll never be able to clean as it's this shiny fabric :( it looked all nice and new up until then :(

Not all off the sofa yet but im saying we need a new one.I want a 3 seater and 2 seater so i can spread out on the 3 seater .We have 2-2seaters and with the boys getting bigger we need an extra seat.

Thank you. I'll get her to try it. Do you know how much it is and what size the bottle please.

I think its only about a fiver and its a standard bottle size - the latest aldi leaflet has a picture of it - have to dig it out of the paper recycling to double check.

For that much its worth a try especially if you are cooking with it :)

    Hi savvy,

    No nothing untoward intended:)

I am naturally curious and a great people watcher( you could say nosey) I love diversity and what makes people tick. I am curious about the very wealthy, people who keep llamas, different religions and cultures, you name it. Hope you get my drift. it wasn't personal at all:)

I know that!:) And be assured nothing personal taken. (In fact that was the point I was making in my "risk of misunderstanding" preface. The true position is I very much agree with you!)

TM, your sig. as well is very very true! A number of times in my life I've kept my head and none of those around me appear to have done (..although, how would I know this?? I suspect it's my best guess...). (Conversely there are also times when I've fallen apart and no-one else has seemed to - I know we all get that at times.)

One incident at least, as you share my own tendency towards curiosity, I'll tell you... and I guess the world then!!:rotfl: about... and potentially it's quite a dangerous thing if it was present to a greater extent than it is in my life... one occasion me and a group of colleagues were out at night, walking past a pub, I'm now aware that all of them appeared not to want to go there, seconds before a fight broke out inside the pub. They seemed to all know that something was about to happen and it was only with their not walking there but instead walking away that I sensed not to go there. I had no idea (this was years prior to my diagnosis, as an adult) how they seemed to know, intuitively and in advance of anything actually happening in the pub, that something (namely the fight) was about to happen. Of course I now realise that's due to my autism.

I can't - and couldn't - sense that anything was about to happen, it was only when my colleagues were all moving away that drew anything to my attention and then the fight broke out about a second later. But they all seemed to know, somehow, long before I did. I suspect they definitely, like all non-autistic people, receive some sense perception as to what is happening. They can (i.e. nearly everyone can, as nearly everyone is not autistic) literally feel when an atmosphere is tense or horrible or not. I don't seem to get that perception most times. Rhetorical: How do you know the atmosphere/an atmosphere around you is tense? I know it, for example, from people shouting, from people being upset etc. Others seem to know atmospheres are tense even before that happens (sometimes it may never expressly happen, yet somehow someone else felt the evening (or the cinema or theatre atmosphere) was tense all through whereas I felt totally neutral about the whole event/evening and didn't see/feel anything).

I suspect there is something of scientific and/or medical interest here.

Also - fourp - your sig. is so true as well. (Yours, Mr limited-genius. Potentially anyway (I've never gone so far as to think of myself as, or call myself, a proper "genius" - I may have a small spark of it within me but not so far as actually to qualify as being a "genius". Pedantic hair-splitting rising again??).
